Factory Manager

We are hiring an energetic, passionate and experienced candidate for the position of Factory Manager at DMart.

Duties and Responsibilities of Factory Manager:

1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the factory, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
2. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets and customer demands.
3. Monitor and control production costs, optimizing resources and minimizing wastage.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all factory personnel.
5. Lead and supervise a team of factory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
6. Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
7. Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality products.
8. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
9. Monitor and analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
10. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
11. Manage inventory levels and oversee the procurement of raw materials and supplies.
12. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various production processes.
13. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in production processes.
14. Prepare regular reports on production activities, performance, and progress towards goals for management review.
15. Resolve any production-related issues, conflicts, or bottlenecks in a timely and effective manner.

Skills and Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing or factory environment.
3. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
5. In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
6. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
7. Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to monitor and optimize production metrics.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
10. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
11. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and certifications.
12. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
13. Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
14. Knowledge of budgeting and cost control practices.
