We are hiring an energetic, passionate and experienced candidate for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor at Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor:
- Supervise Housekeeping Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to established standards.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeepers, and janitors. Assign tasks and responsibilities, and ensure staff are following proper procedures and protocols.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and monitor housekeeping supplies, equipment, and amenities. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate stock of cleaning products, linens, towels, and other necessary items.
- Guest Satisfaction: Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints related to housekeeping services. Take necessary actions to resolve issues and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for housekeeping staff, including coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of the housekeeping budget. Monitor expenses, control costs, and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals, adherence to fire safety protocols, and use of personal protective equipment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards or risks.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as front office, maintenance, and laundry, to ensure smooth operations and efficient guest services.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, such as room occupancy, maintenance requests, and lost and found items. Prepare reports as required by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Working Experience as Housekeeping Supervisor or Similar position.
- Knowledge of Housekeeping Procedures: Familiarity with industry best practices and standards for housekeeping operations, including cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, and safety protocols.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, guests, and other departments. Ability to effectively convey instructions, provide feedback, and address concerns.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and tidiness are consistently maintained.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues, analyze situations, and implement effective solutions to address challenges or conflicts that may arise.
- Organization and Planning: Strong organizational skills to coordinate schedules, manage inventory, and maintain records accurately.
- Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing exceptional guest service and responding to guest needs in a prompt and professional manner.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call duty when necessary.
